About the role
Working within a dynamic HR team, you will play a key role influencing the future culture and HR standards of this dynamic and growing organisation.
There will be a focus on people development and cultural change. The role requires an experienced HR professional to deliver robust advice with respect to effective people processes, and an ability to adapt to the business rhythm with flexibility. The key objectives will be to support the ACL business unit.
Responsibilities are including but not limited to:
- Provide accurate and timely advice, support and coaching to the supervisors and managers on a wide range of HR matters.
- Proactively manage employee relations/industrial relations cases in conjunction with leaders to mitigate risk to the organisation.
- Act as RTW coordinator for NSW and full associated requirements.
- Provide regular reporting, insights and recommendations on a wide range of HR metrics.
- Ensure compliance training is up to date on a monthly basis.
- Create talent strategies to assist with recruitment of hard to hire or high turnover roles.
- Creation of employment contracts and other paperwork relating to employee changes
- Assist with the change management process and ensure the development of a values-based culture.
- Maintain people data integrity across HR systems.
- Manage the performance review process for client group/s as assigned by Manager.
- Liaise between payroll team and employees on employee pay queries.
- Provide support on projects where required.
- Provide support and mentoring to HR Coordinator as required.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate will bring at least 2-4 years generalist HR and change experience, including a minimum of one year at a supervisory level, and experience partnering with leaders in a medium to large size organisation. You will have likely worked closely with a senior operations leader/s and be familiar with the requirements of transformation environments. Importantly you will have demonstrated success at translating people plans into action (you can get stuff done!).
You will be expected to have a relevant tertiary qualification in a HR or related discipline and be adaptable; hungry to learn; resourceful and outcome oriented. On top of this, you should bring a personal style that works in well and adds to the Clinical Labs culture; the need to be energetic, authentic, professional and self-aware, and able to build deep and trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation.
Key competencies for this role include business focus, operations experience, people savvy, learning and development experience. In addition, you will have Employee Relations / Industrial Relations experience, a sound knowledge of relevant legislation (such as Fair Work Agreement and Modern Awards) and workplace relations frameworks.
