They are currently seeking a Finance Business Partner to support the financial performance and strategic direction of their Victorian operations.
The Role
Reporting to the Victorian CEO, the Finance Business Partner plays a critical role in supporting the financial performance and strategic objectives of the business. Acting as a trusted commercial advisor to the Victorian CEO, operational leaders and managers, you will provide financial analysis, insights, forecasting and decision support to drive sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and profitability.
This is a genuinely influential role — not a back-office accounting position. The successful candidate will partner closely across healthcare operations, logistics services, and corporate functions to ensure financial objectives are aligned with business priorities.

Business Partnering & Strategic Support
• Partner with operational and clinical leaders to understand business drivers and performance outcomes
• Provide financial guidance to support strategic initiatives, service expansions, and operational improvements
• Support decision-making through financial modelling, scenario analysis, and business case development
• Challenge and influence stakeholders to improve financial performance and resource utilisation
• Translate complex financial information into meaningful business insights
Financial Planning & Analysis
• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for assigned business units
• Monitor and report financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior year results
• Analyse key revenue, cost, margin, and activity drivers across services
• Develop financial models to assess investment opportunities, equipment purchases, and service line profitability
• Identify risks and opportunities impacting financial outcomes
Performance Reporting
• Prepare monthly management reports and financial dashboards
• Analyse productivity, test volumes, health centre performance, and operational efficiency metrics
• Provide variance analysis and actionable recommendations to management
• Monitor KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives
Operational Finance Support
• Support centre and operational leaders in managing labour costs, consumables, logistics, and overhead expenditure
• Evaluate service profitability by GP practice, region, centre, or testing category
• Assist with pricing reviews, contract evaluations, and reimbursement analysis
• Support cost reduction and productivity improvement programs
Your Profile
This is a commercially focused finance role requiring someone who can operate as a true business partner — equally comfortable building complex financial models and presenting insights to executive and clinical stakeholders. You will bring a strong track record in finance business partnering, FP&A, or commercial finance, with the confidence to challenge, influence, and drive outcomes.
Candidates may come from a range of backgrounds including:
• Healthcare, research institutes, pathology, radiology, pharmacy, diagnostics, or laboratory services
• Hospital or health services finance environments
• Commercial finance roles within regulated or operationally complex organisations
You will demonstrate:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline
• CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification
• 5+ years' experience in Finance Business Partnering, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Management Accounting
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting capability
• Experience supporting operational business units
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
