About the role
Reporting to the Executive Director and engaging closely with peers and other members of the team, the Services Consultant is responsible for managing and developing key client relationships and overseeing the delivery of waste management services across a portfolio of national and trans-Tasman clients in the Medical and Aged Care markets. The role ensures service excellence, supports operational efficiency, and contributes to the continuous improvement of client performance in line with commercial, operational and environmental objectives.
Primary Duties and responsibilities
- Primary point of contact for assigned client accounts.
- Oversee daily waste collection activities to ensure timely and compliant service delivery.
- Monitor and manage client issues or service interruptions with timely resolution.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support retention and long-term engagement.
- Coordinate and support the implementation of waste management strategies and initiatives.
- Provide regular reporting and performance insights to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement, innovation, and cost optimisation.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry standards, compliance requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align service delivery with client expectations.
Key skills and competencies
Essential:
- Experience in service delivery, logistics, procurement, or supply chain operations within the medical and aged care sector.
- Previous exposure to account management or client services roles.
- Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Demonstrated experience in reporting and data interpretation.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory environments in service-based industries.
Advantageous:
- Environmental Science qualifications
- Exposure to BPO / outsourced services
- Experience in Waste management; logistics or service delivery operations
- Experience with Sustainability Reporting & compliance
- Experience in CRM and business systems
